AJGA LEADERSHIP LINKS

https://legacy.ajga.org/ll/Member/Default.aspx?uid=254953

Golf is a game that exemplifies the spirit of giving and I am so blessed to be a part of this most wonderful game. My hope is to use this game of golf that I so love to raise money for The Jimmy Fund.
The Jimmy Fund, established in Boston in 1948, is made up of community-based fundraising events and other programs that benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2013, my grandmother was diagnosed with leukemia. She was the most healthy and lovable person ever and when this tragedy struck, I was confused and distraught. How could something like this happen to someone like her? I kept asking myself this question and praying that she would beat this horrible disease. My grandmother fought for a year but at the end, she wasn’t able to overcome the blood cells growing out of control in her body. I cried and cried for weeks until I finally accepted that she was in a better place and not suffering the excruciating pain. I’ve always wanted to raise money for the Jimmy Fund in some way shape or form. After learning about the AJGA leadership links, I was overjoyed that I could use this platform to help others. I never want anyone to go through what I went through and I believe that one day, we will find the cure to this life-threatening disease.
Your dollars will not only support the funding The Jimmy Fund, but also will impact other junior golfers as well through the ACE Grant program. Your contributions will help talented junior golfers with a desire to better their life through playing junior golf and earning a college golf scholarship. These juniors lack the financial resources to compete at the national level to gain exposure to these scholarships. They need our help as well. The scholarships these juniors earn through their play change the course of their life and the life of their future family.
